Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health
Ambereen is a practicing Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon and an M.S. student in the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health. She earned her M.D. and an M.P.H. at George Washington University School of Medicine and did her residency at Louisiana State University-Charity Hospital.
She is an attending surgeon, associate director of the obstetrics/gynecology residency program, and coordinator of the Global Health Elective at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, with global health surgical trips to Eritrea, Kingston in Jamaica, Nicaragua and Port-au-Prince in Haiti.
