Essential Package of Health Service with Localized Evidence: Azad Jammu & Kasmir

The Health Department of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan developed a localized district package of health services based on the federal Essential Package of Health Services. The district package includes 98 immediate priority interventions, out of which 21 are at the community level, 35 at the primary health centre level and 42 at first level hospitals, with a total cost of 17.54 US$ per capita. An additional 12 interventions at the tertiary and population levels will be implemented through special initiatives and will cost 4.19 US$ per capita. The interventions at all five platforms are expected to avert 316,947 DALYs.
