Policy Dialogue Series

To advance DCP3's aim of informing and influencing policies for improved resource allocation, DCP and EMRO convened a series of regional forums with high-level policymakers for a dialogue about DCP3 findings and policy needs for a variety of health topics and populations.

The format for these meetings was a true dialogue – exchanging conclusions from DCP3 chapters and reactions and questions from policymakers. At the meetings, DCP3 experts presented their analyses of specific health topics and policymakers responded. The goal was to create a two-way conversation between experts and policymakers that leads to improved problem-solving and decision-making. The assumption is that policymakers benefit from informed dialogue with experts, and that experts can increase the usefulness and applicability of their work with better understanding of policy needs.
